TROY SPRING 2025 Semester at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) which will start on 17 February and end on 31 May, 2025.

The following grading system is recommended for evaluation of all courses at TROY program:
90-100 Grade A,
80-89 Grade B,
70-79 Grade C,
60 - 69 Grade D,
Under 60 Grade F.

In addition, please inform students that serious penalty (e.g: one lower letter grade) will be given for cheating and plagiarism and students will be required to retake a course if they get D for major courses and F for general/e/elective courses.
Regarding attendance, you are very highly appreciated if calling the roll every session and have a CLEAR policy for absence (for more than 3 absent days with or without faculty's permission or students will not be allowed to sit in the final exam and will get F for the course).

Course Description: Through guided listening in order to reach the orientation in musical, forms, historical development and aesthetics.

Course Objective: The course is designed to broaden the student’s appreciation for music by teaching deep-listening techniques. The class is focused on listening to enjoying and thinking about music. This class is a survey of western music history from 400 BC to the 20 CE and music nowadays in the local.

Course Material: Text Book: Ferris, Jean. Music, the Art of Listening. 7th7^{th} edition, McGraw-Hill – PDF.

Lesson 7 Integral Forms
Lesson 8 Conflict in Music, Process
Lesson 9 Pop music form, Ternary form.
Lesson 10 Review, Final Examination
